What is the CQM Program?

It is an on-farm food safety program designed to help producers prevent, monitor and reduce food safety risks on their farms.

It has achieved technical recognition by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency as adhering to HACCP principles and being scientifically sound.

Producers on the program implement best management practices on their farms and keep records to monitor critical areas of food safety.

  • The requirements are contained in the CQM Reference Manual.
  • The Workbook helps producers develop standard operating procedures.
  • Producers are registered when their on-farm food safety systems meet the requirements of the program.
