Pride in DairyMarch 6th, 2013
The next time you’re driving down a country road, just about anywhere in Canada, look to your left and look to your right. That neat and tidy farmhouse, barn and surrounding yard is most likely a dairy operation. If it happens to be 5am in the morning and you could see in the barn, you would see a hard working family; milking, bedding, feeding and caring for the cows and calves in their dairy herd. All this to make an honest living, and to put wholesome nutritious milk on the shelves for the respected Canadian consumer.
Recently, the popular “God Made a Farmer” Dodge Super Bowl commercial captured the essence of a dairy producer well...“God said, I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the fields and then milk cows again. And then do it again tomorrow...”
This February, the inaugural Canadian Dairy XPO played host to 11,600 proud dairy producers from across Canada. They came for professional development and they came to see the latest in innovation. A motivated and proactive group that cares about the milk they produce; and cares about the Canadian consumer. PRIDE IN DAIRY – will be again the official positioning statement of the Canadian Dairy XPO next February 5th and 6th 2014.
